‘Beyond the the Scoop’ takes guests on a journey through sound, sight, smell, touch, and taste, ultimately creating the 6th sense that Tillamook offers - delight.

Role:

Services:
Senior Art Director, Production Designer

Brand Activation, Storytelling, Digital, Social.
Despite being America’s fastest-growing family-size ice cream company, Tillamook faces the challenge of expanding its presence on the East Coast, where many consumers remain unfamiliar with Tillamook and its exceptional ice cream. The brand is exceptional in that it is made with significantly less air and higher butterfat content than the industry standard.

This activation aims to expand awareness to these families, messaging that Tillamook is crafted creaminess for those who crave instant indulgence.

As Senior Art Director, I was responsible for pitching three art directions alongside the creative team, and developing the individual experiences of Beyond Your Scoop with Junior Art Director Leo Ambardo.

I specialized as the sole illustrator for all brand activation visuals and visual identity designer of the activation.

Chalice Cannabis

Chalice Cannabis. Not all cannabis consumers just want to get high; for some, it’s what keeps them grounded.

Services:
Brand Identity, Positioning, Print, Merch, Digital, Social.

Roles:
Creative Oversight as Assistant Creative Director
Assisted in Positioning, Visual Guidelines, Event, Merch, and Signage Deliverables

The local chain Chalice was founded by an athlete seeking to replace opioids for pain management; he found cannabis the perfect holistic substitute.

The client wanted to center the brand on these central values: integrity, community, and health.  The brand guidelines overcome Chalice’s hurdles in recognizability and brand awareness.

The creative team aimed to create cohesion behind tone, messaging, and aesthetics across its channels.

As Assistant Creative Director, I assisted in positioning, photography, color, and brand deck guidelines.
I inspired the leading creative team with approaches to push the brand foundations further by providing branding examples, notes, and advice.

Viks in the City Homecoming

Homecoming at Providence Park;
on the biggest stage in Portland, you can create your own PSU experience.

Services:
Brand Identity, Logo System, Positioning, Voice, Print, Merch, Logo Toolkit.

Roles:
Logo Designer
Creative Oversight of Direction as Assistant Creative Director

A typical university experience is rooted in athletics; PSU is anything but. A commuter school, the home of the Vikings, made a name for itself through alternative routes like art, design, and business. As a result, students prioritize their personal commitments over the football team, with many students not knowing anything about the offerings of PSU Football.

With PSU Football making a historic return to Providence Park for their Homecoming game, the university needed to give students a brand new face and voice to kick off the start of a loyal fandom.

So Fresh, So Clean

So Fresh So Clean is the creative vision for the 2024 Design Senior Portfolio Showcase of Portland State University.

Services:
Brand Activation, Storytelling, Digital, Social, Booklet Design.
Roles:
Website Design Leader, Asset Illustrator, Social Media Production Designer
Inspired by the Outkast song, the world of this art direction needed a digital space to promote the event and each graduating student. To expand the universe of this graduating class’s hip theme, I oversaw the
website design, created illustrative assets, and supported social media design.

I led a 4-member group of website designers to build the website together on Figma.

This involved attending weekly communication with the Squarespace production team to maintain timeline updates, and file management of assets to be live on the yearbook booklet layout. Our execution of these deliverables occurred over 4-5 weeks.

Fire Lily Coffee

Fire Lily Coffee is the purest Kenyan coffee on the market. Why be humble about it?

Services:
Branding, Storytelling, Packaging, Digital, Social, Print, Content Strategies, Digital Communication.
Roles:
Assistant Creative Director, Production Designer, Copywriting Support

Co-founder Francis Kungu prides himself on taking coffee beyond convention; he overcame the colonial restrictions and red tape that cut coffee farming growth, and worked with Kenyan farmers as partners to produce the single-origin coffee, straight from the source, directly to Portlanders.

The revenue then goes back to support Kenyan communities even further, funding ethical farming practices to preserve the land and educate farmers.

Rooted in radical coffee, the boundary-pushing business needed an identity that reflected its bold, unapologetic nature.

As Assistant Creative Director, I oversaw and acted as support on art and copy production quality, specifically brand direction, packaging, and client presentations before send-off. I ensured visual assets and copywriting upheld client objectives.

As Digital Marketing Content Specialist for Fire Lily Coffee, I translated brand direction to digital social media and newsletter content, designing further promotional and seasonal materials and content strategies meant to manage and grow the business’s online presence.
